About me
I started learning to sew as a child and I use the skills learned ever since to make beautiful textile products such as tote bags, hand bags and purses. Everything is handmade at my home in Dronfield, and sustainability is central to what I do, so I work predominantly with salvaged and 'hand-me-down' materials. However, I make no compromise on quality, for example I often use fabric sample books purchased from interior design studios. My products are individual, beautifully constructed and made from high quality fabrics. My price range is around £10 to £40. Upcycling isn’t just a marketing angle for me. Sustainability is the reason I came up with Home Grown Crafting 15 years ago. I’m dedicated to my sewing but I'm also passionate about reusing, as o ver the years I’ve seen the quantity of unloved and unintentional textiles boom, and I believe that ‘new’ is out, and creating sustainable products by acquiring and reusing is our way forward.
